Greetings from Tokyo!

So after a long long day, or two is it? I've arrived in Tokyo safe and sound. I survived the 14 hour plane ride- which actually went by real quick to me. Many of the Japanese natives were wearing those masks over their nose/mouths when I arrived. I introduced myself to the other girl on my flight an her mom before we boarded eventhough we didn't sit together. The girl is 15 and the youngest of us. It's been a whirlwind and I can't really focus enough to write much else. I still feel like "am I really here?" but yep! I sure am. More tomorrow- I have my first casting with the girls.

Jaunts

In the past 2 weeks I have been to my various "homes" (Pennsylvania, Miami, and Tampa) to see those important to me before I depart for my journey to Japan. Below are some pictures I snapped while jet-setting.

Horseback riding in the Pennsylvania countryside.
On the left is Alex on Hulk, then Shea, and Me.
My horse is posing, how appropriate.

On the plane to Miami... the clouds looked like popcorn. I was fascinated.

Crossing the Sunshine Skyway Bridge in Tampa... the clouds look penciled in.
I just realized how much I like clouds.

An iconic landmark to Tampa- The Original Hooters.

Only in New York...

So I had one of my many "only in NY" moments last week as I came across this next door to my agency at Ricky's NYC- a beauty supply store famous for it's wacky goods. It's some kind of advertising promotion for god-knows-what where a man in high heels walks on a treadmill. haha!! There were so many people stopping and snapping pictures along with me. Apparently at another Ricky's in Union Square there is someone who "sleeps" in a bed in the window but I have yet to see this myself. Regardless- this is just too good for words. Where else would you see such a sight? Oh New York, I love you.

Name Change?

So I have been meaning to write but it keeps getting away from me. I wish I had made more time to do so. Anyway- two weekends ago I went on a little jaunt to Long Island to see my good friend Cassie who I know from when I attended University of Miami. And lately I've been busy working this "job" as a "model" at Hollister which tires me out pretty good even though it's a pretty silly job description: saying "Hey, what's up!" to greet customers and shuffle around looking energetic and smiling while wearing the clothes for 4-5 hours straight. It's pretty funny and interesting to observe the whole store and it's marketing strategies. On another note- I think I might have to change the name of this blog since it looks like I will be traveling to Japan in a couple weeks for a few months. Eeeek! It's exciting, nerve-wracking, and still very unreal to me. I signed the contract to be placed with an agency in Tokyo today. It's starting to get more real. So I'll leave you with a link to My Gallery page where I just put up some pictures from the Long Island trip as well as many I've taken around the NY area. Enjoy!
